
Globalsat – Teleunicom Group Companies acquired the Electricity Trading License in Greece
The Group has completed the process for acquiringElectricity Trading License, gaining the opportunity to enter the electricity retail market in Greece.
More specifically, the Energy Regulatory Authority (RAE), issued a few weeks ago, its decision to grant an 100MW power electricity trading license to the Group, for a total duration of 20 years, until 2042, according to the relevant legislation. Globalsat-Teleunicom has completed the first step to enter the electricity market.
Acquiringan electricity trading license is part of the company’s strategic plan to expand its activities in new sectors of economy, aiming to a further development of the company in the Greek market, taking advantage of its know-how and dynamics in distribution and operation of sales.
Mr. Vassilis Papadopoulos, CEO of Globalsat-Teleunicom Group, stated: «Lately, we have started the implementation of the expansion plan of our activities, always having as our central orientation our strengthening in the Greek market.
